2019 Grenache Blanc

On the palate, this lean and structured wine enters with crisp lemon notes followed by Asian pear and subtle white peach notes on the palate. This wine “dances” between these layers of bright fruit flavors showing good mouthfeel and a clean, crisp finish and bight acidity.
The dark skins produce a dark red wine in the glass with earthly, leathery notes in the nose. The wine delivers a rich, full bodied and almost jammy quality on the palate with rich dark berry flavors that carry into a long-smooth finish.
In the nose, there is red berry with faint blue fruit notes and subtle herbs. On the palate there is cherry red fruit with pepper spices with an earthy, lean finish with mineral notes. The wine is supported with bright acid and slight, well integrated tannins.
On the palate, this wine focuses on the dark fruit and tannins at first and begins to open to expose underlying layers of dark blackberries and blueberries accented by pepper, smoke and a hint of bacon. This wine is focused, but full-bodied on the palate, and it extends its dark fruit into a long finish supported by subtle, sweet tannins.
On the nose, this wine exhibits dark raspberry and cranberry fruit with perfumed aromas of potpourri, savory spices, and a subtle hint of licorice. The light and elegant, yet focused, palate carries several layers of red berry and dark cherry fruit integrated with notes of black pepper, smoked meat, and ash, reminiscent of a campfire.
This wine exhibits tart cassis, cranberry and pomegranate flavors on the entry, and develops a deeper rich, rewarding flavor as it enters the mid-palate. On the finish, the wine develops more dark cherry and blueberry fruit with is juicy and layered with a well-integrated and a voluptuously silky finish, offering impressive length and breadth.

As you know from our last newsletter, we have partnered with the Winery Collective, San Francisco's Wine Tasting Room to offer VIE Winery wines for tasting. Winery Collective represents several local wineries and will be pouring and selling VIE Winery wines. Although there will not be an exclusive VIE Winery wine tasting flight, you will be able to enjoy several of our wines on their tasting menu and by the glass including our several of our popular Syrahs and Melange Maision.
Winery Collective is open daily from 1:00pm to 8:00pm. So, you can now enjoy our wines seven days a week! Reservations are recommended for the weekends and for parties of 4 or more. We look forward to seeing you at our new tasting room soon!
