Gold Medal & 91 point rating awarded to our 2016 Canihan Vineyards Syrah

We are pleased to announce that our 2016 Canihan Vineyards Syrah received a Gold Medal & 91 point rating from the American Fine Wine Competition.

“Our 2016 Canihan Vineyards Syrah is a new addition to the VIE Winery line-up from a familiar vineyard used by VIE for a single vineyard pinot noir. This cool-climate site produces dark grapes with soft skin and loose clusters leading to a dark, dense wine in the glass. Although this vineyard contains Syrah clone from Côte-Rôtie, at first sip, this wine exhibits earthy, leathery notes more familiar with that of the Hermitage wine region. In the mouth, the wine delivers a rich, full bodied and dark fruit qualities on the palate with rich dark berry flavors that carry into a long-smooth finish.”
