2008 Las Madres Syrah
Carneros - Sonoma County
Our 2008 Las Madres Vineyards Syrah wine exhibits classic dark berry fruit with earthy, black olive notes in the nose reminiscent of the Hermitage region. The wine has a much bigger and brighter blueberry fruit up-front flavor (from the Clone 300) than in the past, followed by dark cherry and cassis fruit on the palate with a hint of black pepper spice on the finish. The integrated tannins and great structure supports the lengthy second finish.

Deep blue, black and red fruit aromas, with spice and whiffs of smoke and cola. The palate is smooth and sexy, well-balanced and mouth filling, with an explosion of fruit and smoky-spice in the long lingering finish.
