2008 L'Etranger Zinfandel
With our 2008 L'Etranger Zinfandel Blend wine, we replaced the Zinfandel from the Speedy Creek Vineyard in Sonoma near Knights Valley with Bismark Ranch, one of Sonoma's most famous Zinfandel Vineyards up high on top of Sonoma Mountain. The blend remains 60% Zinfandel, 35% Syrah (including the Las Madres Vineyard) and 5% Petite Syrah. This wine combines the spicy peppery flavors and up-front brambleberry and red cherry, with green pepper corn and cassis, and full mid-palate bringing elegant and dark cherry fruit in the finish, with hints of coffee and toffee in a surprising long finish for a Zinfandel based wine. Enjoy over a barbeque or red meat over the next 3-4 years.

Accolades & Awards
"Pretty raspberry, blackberry and cherry aromas, with pepper spice, light cola and oak nuances. This is a wonderfully-balanced wine, with the smooth, sexy qualities of syrah fortified with upfront zinfandel fruit and a nice backbone supplied by petite sirah."
